When you sip a complex Guatemalan coffee like P11, you can't add sugar, because if you do so you will lose all the different flavors this coffee has. So next time you be in front of a good cup of coffee, think twice.
As everything that is good comes to an end, after rode 4,000kms in 8 days we were a little tired but happy of our little adventure, New Year took us in Cancún and after that the site of Tulum and the Isla de Flores at Guatemala gave a nice touch to terminate our journey.
After hopping quickly through Progreso and Mérida we went straight to Chichén Itzá, the famous site with its emblematic four sided pyramid El Castillo, Chichén is a site with Toltec influence but with a great Maya Puuc reminescense, a great site but a little simple to my taste. Due to the hordes of people you can't "touch" the structures, just like there were in a postcard, just to watch. The first time I was there was in 1987 and the feeling was completly different.
One of the greatest sites in the Yucatán península, Uxmal has excellent details in its facades, stairways and palaces, you can stay there for hours just thinking how could be life there some 1,000 years before. By far -in my opinion- a site more complex and beautiful than Chichén Itzá.
Guatemala has a rich variety of complex soils. Its amazing diversity of microclimates delivers coffee with very singular characteristics. We have selected the best and carefully cultivated Arabica beans from our fertile Highlands, harvested by skillful hands; it is blended among selected Guatemala's coffee regions and roasted very tenderly to deliver an exotic drink with complex flavors and an incomparable aroma. P11 will delight you by giving you an opportunity to recognize the subtleties of premium coffees coupled with an intense sensory experience.
