Spinning The Wheel

Rare Earth hypothesis argues that the emergence of complex multicellular life on Earth required an improbable combination of astrophysical and geological events and circumstances, contrary to this the Principle of Mediocrity concludes that the Earth is a typical rocky planet in a typical planetary system, located in an unexceptional region of a common barred-spiral galaxy, as a consequence it is probable that the universe is full with complex life. But Fermi paradox say: If extraterrestrial aliens are common, why aren't they obvious?
This is the kind of things I would like to talk with a coffee in between.
