World Cup Tasters Championship 2010
Hector Gonzalez of Guatemala came through to beat off the 37 other contestants and prove his coffee tasting expertise, becoming the 2010 World Cup Tasters Champion at the finals during the SCAE Event at Caffè Culture in London last week. Guatemala is showing beside its excellent coffee a world class people of baristas and tasters. Congrats Hector!

Aroma
A distinctive, typically pleasant smell found in a cup of coffee. The variety and complexity of aroma reflect the ways the different soils and climate patterns combine with the high mountain altitude to create a particular features. Guatemalan coffees are delightfully aromatic, often characterized as having delicated flowery, sweet and spicy notes. P11 is specially complex in the latter.

Cup of Excellence
The Cup of Excellence is a strict competition that selects the very best coffee produced in that country for that particular year . These winning coffees are chosen by a select group of national and international cuppers and are cupped at least five different times during the competition process. The final winners are awarded the prestigious Cup of Excellence® and sold to the highest bidder during an internet auction. P11 is designed with coffee from high rated farms in such contest.
