High Confidence

I was eight years old when my mom gave me a Philips cassette tape recorder, this was a gift that opened my mind in a multiple ways of creativity. This song from Tijuana Brass was also in one of the cassettes she gave to me. Although I am a single child from a single mother she never told me a "no" for whatever I would like to do. When I got 12 I wanted a motorcycle that she was not sure to buy for me. When I crashed in a friend's motorbike and I was very injured I feared it would change my expectations. Three weeks later my mum bought me my brand new Honda SL70 and she told me: "I prefer you crash in your own bike that in someone else's". Here my mom with my daughter.

  3. I can identify with this - I am also an only child who was raised by my mother. She always encouraged me in everything I did. When I was 16, she bought me the guitar I wanted for Christmas. I knew that she had to save money and work very hard to get me my heart's desire.

Your daughter is adorable and so happy! And I can see the wisdom in your lovely Mother's eyes.

  4. Trurogirl: When my second child was born (a boy) my mom told me that he would be like a "spare part" of me for her. Also to me my daughter is the "spare part" of my mom, :)
